This track started while I was in a very dark place, it was one of the very few times I've been able to write anything at all while depressed, especially to this degree. I basically wrote the first minute or so very messily and then went to bed. The next day I went back to it and liked the idea, so I cleaned it up a bit and posted it in my discord server in a WIPs channel. Not long afterwards, a good friend of mine told me he really liked the idea, like REALLY liked the idea- even saying it's one of his favorite things of mine that I've made thus far. That was definitely it was a bit of a wake up call and I knew I was sitting on something special. I knew it was a rather strange and unique idea and from then on I embraced the track being worn, imperfect.... troubled, even. Every element of the song has gone through some sort of processing to make it imperfect and give it life, whether it be tapes, tubes, granular mangling, etc. It grew into exactly the feeling I was going for, it had just the right amount of life and musicality to it while being messy....in a good way.

This song was for me. It's almost like finishing it helped to heal the wounds that it came from in the first place.
